Sleepless in Seattle

After a day-long stopover in Atlanta and a short visit to the coca-cola museum, where one can taste sodas from all over the world, we spent 3 nights, two full days in Seattle.

Our studio apartment was located in the old town district, the pioneer square, in the Old Merchants Cafe,  with brick walls and an intact basement floor which used to be the original main entrance to the building before the streets were raised by one level.

To fully understand the background,  one should take the underground tour, which gives a beautiful insight into the city's history.

The accommodation was in easy walking distance to the market, the gum wall, the oldest Starbucks store, some of the highest skyscrapers and the T-Mobile Park where we watched the Mariners play against the LA Angels. Only for the space needle puplic transport was necessary.  The ORCA daypass also allowed us to go on the ferry to western Seattle to see the skyline from the west.

Great city...highly recommended!
