Doppelgänger in Vancouver

I am back in Vancouver.  It's been 17 years,  believe it or not!

The downtown street names sounded familiar, Canada Place is still a bustling and Stanley Park offers the perfect view of the city's skyline.

While in town, I was sitting on a bench and a man passed by. I instantly knew I have seen this face before. My first feeling was: Darcy, a man who worked at Elkin Creek back in 2008.
In the past, I let such situations pass to be later finding myself wondering for days who the person was... not so this time.
When I saw the man enter a coffe place, I followed him, apologized for my approach, asking whether his name was Darcy.  He said no, asking whether he looked like a Darcy. I roughly explained that he looked like someone I knew from last time I visited and that it would have been this extreme coincidence if it was him.
He said he must have a Doppelgänger, because his name was Andrew, which did not ring a bell to me, so I said goodbye and left.

On the way to pick up the RV which was a 30 minute drive, I kept wondering...and suddenly I knew: he is an actor! I googled "Andrew actor Canada" and found him. He was playing in Chesapeake Shores.

The funniest part, thinking back on the situation in the coffee place: imagine his point of view. He must have thought I am some fan who is some bricks short of a load...
