O Porto

Before we hit the Caminho, we had a full day in Porto. What a charming city, easy to explore walking, right on the river Douro, with many churches, beautiful azulejos and plenty of cafes inviting you to rest and enjoy the Portuguese cuisine. 

We walked a lot, took a river cruise, ate bolinhos de bacalhau as well as pastéis de nata and soaked in the sunshine.
